Tea Parties Are Growing !!

The current fiscal crisis, which began with the mortgage meltdown and the consequent drop in home values and stock prices, has given rise to a new movement of people not normally involved in ordinary political activities. While they are not part of either political party, they are generally viewed as hostile to incumbents whom they view as responsible for the current fiscal crisis. The number of ordinary people expressing an interest in running for political office at the federal or state level appears far higher than in the past. As one example, in Congressional District 9 (Bklyn/Qns), a young man named Joseph Hayon (www.hayon2010.com), with modest income, is hoping to run against Anthony Weiner, an incumbent who typically runs with little to no opposition. Mr. Hayon seems typical of others we’ve seen in Long Island congressional districts anxious to run against an incumbent.
